AnimeBlogger.net is a supportive community for new writers and old pro’s all over the world helping to establish their blog for free. As it continue to expand and include new bloggers to the anime blogosphere, it has reached a point where advertising is not enough to pay for the hosting services.

In the mist of growing costs a appeal for donations to cover the taxes and hosting fees of AnimeBlogger.net has been broth forth. The money will go to keeping AB.net up and going and in a new server so the community can grow further.

Started quite some time ago, the series follows the story of one boy who one day watched his father, mother and sister die in a horrible accident, killed by a space dragon, of all things. Present day and following a year of depression he now falls into a series of incidents which change his life forever and ever and ever. Yes that kind of ever and ever.

He now having hopelessly fallen in love with Toa, the murdered of his family (he knows this), runs around seeking to avenge his love ones by murdering the entire dragon race. In his quest he is constantly annoyed by the Kazuki, a member of the NSDA (anti-dragon organization), who seeks to punish him for stealing his Gio. (Gio is a guy)

Besides Kazuki others seek to separate him form his true love Toa. Blah blah blah…

Dragonaut, is one of the worst series I’ve had the misfortune of stumbling upon. While it starts out okey and boasts decent animation it eventually proves to be as imaginative as a rock. The characters have little to go for, besides boobs equal to one third of their body. Its sad but all the characters in Dragonaut are either gay, lesbians or pedophiles or their overly smart dumb lolis or dead. The show has little going for it and whatever hope you have in it, fear not it will shater. Either your favorite character will die, miserably, or the annoying villain who had 50% of all screen time the last half a dozen episode will shamelessly come back to life, just to poke at you some more.

The animation is good, but the feeling of the show couldn’t be worse.
For the first two episodes there was some good feeling in it but the rest brave similar imagination to that in cratoons.

If you haven’t seen this show. Stear clear from it!
The only thing I can praise it for is it’s knack of coping character designs from other shows.

Also referred to as Shigofumi ~ Stories of Last Letter or just Shigofumi (シゴフミ).

Produced by Bandai, the series follows the many stories of Fumika, the mail carrier, as she journeys the city, among other places, delivering the last words of those who’ve passed on. Fans of Shinigami no Ballad will love this show.

While I see the slight hint to Shinigami no Ballad, it’s more a feeling then a similarity. As opposed to following the struggles of kind individuals, the story portrays the dark side of humanity. From abortions to random suicides, the show is a dark and mysterious one yet at times vibrant with colors. The main character Fumika is no Momo, sparked with personality and filled with “life” her personal story is intertwined with the many sub-plots of the show.

The carriers of Shigofumi are dead people. They are not divine, they are simply people who have passed away and have been tasked with this for certain reasons. They are bestowed with unholy strength and skill but their true power lies in their staffs, which are capable of the impossible, to the extent of manipulating nature.
However, it is forbidden for them to take any action that influences the life and death of humans. All be it, that is not much of a burden as even Fumika cares not if the people she meets live or die.

Intro Arc (Letter #1) “Confession”

The first part of two, the episode introduces Fumika and her assistant as they deliver shigofumi, letters from the dead. We meet Shouta, who is secretly building a rocket. Regrettably his experiments don’t go very well. Besides Shouta, the other lead of the mini-arc is a girl, Ayasse, who faces family struggles as she tries to deal with the sudden death of her father. But this is only story would have us believe.

For most of the first half of the show it has been nothing less then a soup of character movement. The answers and motion was only vaguely resembling momentum and at it’s apex it was yet to shine with anything but characterization. But that has come to pass and the last few episodes see my modest hopes at my door.

Quick Briefing

The story thus far has advanced slowly but steadily in a continuous loop. Episode after episode we would get answers and the stage for the next question. There was little to be seen, but the character development was steady, and their story acting solid.

The fist half ends as 12 where one of the last biscuits in the training—soup draws to a close. ~

12. “Goodbye, Obama”

It’s the second in the War–Elize mini-series. From the start we get the latest on the Elize Eika front, current score is in Eika’s favor, as Elize, baring the weight of her promise from last episode is bound to respect and follow Eika’s orders.
Well, “respect”, is perhaps saying too much.

The peace of war in the EE conflict is followed by bread crumbs of information on current world status and military readiness. And now Karen finally steps forth in the spotlight. This is still a big old soup episode, and not yet the last. Events are still as predictable as possibly can be, almost like a mathematically correct sometimes. Like something like this: Nullify yesterday’s events, which in our case would be war: EE; shortly after pick character not previously picked -Karen’s a good choice- and start conversation with it’s co-character (you can tell who’s the co-character as they’re always polar opposites), follow next step bellow…

It’s still training season and the girls are hard at work practicing in the early morning. This time they’re using imaginary WORMs. I guess the production team is getting cheap. All is going well, and their starting to work with ought verbal indicators. Later, they get briefed on their new deployment base at sea and things move on…

At the Port next door, power puff girl Elise has arrived. She’s a lot younger then the other girls, or it may just be her height. As the three are still in practice an unknown pops up on the radar. It’s Elise, on her European SD. She shows off in front of the girls, but Eika, reminded of her fight with the “temporary replacement” won’t stand it and rallying Otoha and Karen corner her. Elise is less then impressed and throws a sly remark how it takes the three of them to capture her, the one.

Some time later the inevitable bash-Togo meeting comes. Eika is mad, Karen is sad and Otoha… she’s just clueless and over exited as always. At the hanger the truck with Elise’s heavy luggage arrives, but Elise is nowhere to be seen. Togo and the truck’s driver go to search for her.

Meanwhile,
On the other side of the base the girls are eating, partially worried about the 4th pilot, Elise. As they talk, the little devil pops in and like the good neighbor she is immediately challenges Eika to a duel. Eika agrees to a fight in the simulator… superman changeover fallows. But the fight is pointless as none of them can really win anything good from it…
